4. Organise your event in a really difficult to get to place

Another way to make sure that people don't really attend your event is to organise it somewhere which is really difficult for people to get to. Like Göteborg, Sweden. It's about as difficult to get there as the north pole! There are few direct flights to FSCONS. Or direct buses. Or direct anything for that matter. You'll likely end up changing at least once, in backwaters places like Stockholm or Copenhagen. That doesn't seem to prevent people from coming here though, so we're very seriously considering moving the whole thing to the north pole.
